Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Horus Teknoloji ve Dijital Hizmetler A.Ş. (“Horus Studios”, “we”, “us”) for the Tacky app, its widget and tackyapp.com (together, “Tacky”). By using Tacky you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Tacky.

2. Who can use Tacky

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you. You can’t use Tacky if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms, or if the law doesn’t allow you to.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Apple Account. Keep your device and Apple Account secure, since anyone who can use them can use your Tacky account. Choose a display name and handle that follow the rules below. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account.

4. Boards and invite links

• A friends board has up to 5 members. Anyone who has a board’s invite link can join while there is room and the link is valid, so share it only with people you want on the board.
• Invite links expire after 7 days and can be reset.
• The board’s owner can remove members. When the owner leaves, ownership passes to another member.
• When you leave a board or are removed, your stickers on it are deleted.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, drawings, text and other content you stick on Tacky (“your content”). To run Tacky, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content, only for the purpose of operating and improving Tacky and showing your content to the members of the boards you share it with, including in widgets and notifications. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept for a limited time in backups or where we need to keep content to review a report or comply with the law.

You confirm that you have the rights to your content, and that anyone recognizable in your photos is fine with you sharing them on the board.

6. Stickers don’t last

Tacky is designed to be temporary. Stickers fall off after 24 to 48 hours and their images are deleted. Don’t use Tacky to store anything you want to keep. Keep in mind that other members can see, screenshot or save what you stick.

7. Rules

You agree not to use Tacky to stick, share or do anything that:

• is illegal, or promotes illegal activity;
• sexualizes minors in any way, or shows nudity or sexual content of anyone without their consent;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or shames anyone;
• promotes hate or violence against people based on who they are;
• encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders;
• shares someone else’s private information, or photos of people who didn’t agree to be shared;
• impersonates another person, or misleads people about who you are;
• infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• is spam, a scam, or contains malware;
• tries to access boards, accounts or data you aren’t allowed to, guesses invite codes, scrapes Tacky, gets around our limits, or interferes with how Tacky works;
• involves reverse engineering Tacky, except where the law allows it.

8. Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can report any sticker and block any person in the app. We don’t tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. We review reports and may, without notice, remove content, remove people from boards, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Where the law requires, we will report illegal content to the authorities. If you think we made a mistake, contact us at dev@horusstudios.com.

9. Changes to Tacky

Tacky is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features, set limits, or stop offering Tacky. If we stop offering Tacky entirely, we will try to tell you in advance.

10. Other services

Tacky relies on services from other companies, such as Apple for sign-in and notifications, Supabase and Cloudflare for hosting, and AppsFlyer for optional ad measurement and invite links. How these services handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. Ad measurement is off unless you allow it, and you can turn it off at any time under Settings → Ad Measurement. Tacky works the same either way. When a link takes you outside Tacky, such as to the App Store, that service’s own terms apply.

11. Apple

If you downloaded Tacky from the App Store, you also agree to the following:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Tacky and its content.
• Your license to use Tacky is limited to using it on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tacky.
• If Tacky fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price you paid for it. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Tacky.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Tacky, including product liability claims, claims that Tacky fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• If someone claims that Tacky infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Disclaimers

Tacky is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that Tacky will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content will be available for any length of time. We aren’t responsible for content that other people stick. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Tacky. Our total liability for any claim about Tacky is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Tacky in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars. These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using Tacky and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect others. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as 5 (for backups and reports), 12, 13 and 15, continue to apply.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in the courts where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant we will let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Tacky after that, you accept the updated terms.
